Another splendid weekend was arranged by Mike Everitt, with help from his wife Lynn; this time in Aberystwyth on the west coast of Wales. A fantastic time was again had by all.

Aberystwyth September 2009.

Mike Everitt's plan for the weekend spent in Aberystwyth during September 2009 was to walk about 45 miles of the Ceredigion Coastal Path from Llangrannog to Ynyslas over four days.

On the ceredigion coastal footpath

The weather was superb although a little windy on the last day -

A windy last day

and the tides were convenient so that some beach walking -

Beach walking

(and paddling)

Paddling

could be included.

The walking was sufficiently challenging with about 7000ft of climbing during the holiday(!)

plenty of climbing

and the scenery beautiful and ever changing.

A slight holdup while negotiating a difficult crossing brought plenty of helping hands.

Fording a stream

So there was still time for 'honey' ice creams for all at Aberaeron -

Ice cream for all.

and a swim in the Irish Sea at Ynyslas for a few brave (or foolhardy) souls at the end of the walk.

Cooling off with a swim
