Slopes of Coniston

16 May 2017 - on the slopes of Coniston. Lunch stop in the quarries near Eddy Scale on an 8.3 mile walk taking in Coniston Water, Walna Scar Road and views of Coppermines Valley. There is a very impressive waterfall nearby.

Arnside Tower

Main resident
17 May 2017 - Another resident at our hotel the ‘Grand’. There were two permanent resident peacocks which were very attractive to look at but they woke early every morning (and woke many temporary residents) with their distinctive call.

A Closer Look

Journey's End

19 May 2017 Journey's end in Troutbeck. A welcome stop (and a very good pint) at the end of a 9 mile walk (and a 49 mile walking week for those who did all the longer walks) on a successful Southern Lake District holiday.

Stunning views were enjoyed during the walks!

And a well-earned rest on occasion.
